Despite claims of alleged tattering and a brief respite at the number 2 spot in the DC Kickball standings, the Kickbrawlers have reemerged as the team to beat in next weeks playoffs.

Thats it. PoDCK was nice enough to remind the entire league when we slipped to second, so I just thought Id extend the same courtesy to the Fockers. Well done Green Team!

For those who werent there, the previously undefeated and untied Kickbrawlers (led by Darth Kriger and Mike Skywalker) were beaten by the Peter Northstars. Yes, the Peter Northstars. Pretty much the definition of the unstoppable force meeting the unmovable object. Discuss amongst yourselves.

DCKickball and Angie Anderson Productions are proud to present the party youve been waiting for!! Your mind must be aflutter with several burning questions

DCKickball is having another party? Yes.

Am I finally going to have the opportunity to hang out at Angies house? Yes (count your blessings).

Will there be lots of alcohol involved? YES.

Will there be opportunities to enact that revenge Ive been plotting against Carter? Absolutely.

Heres the rub:

Angie Anderson is having a birthday extravaganza at her house (2626 Garfield St, NW) on Saturday, July 16th. Think of it as every party youve ever wanted to attend, but couldnt all rolled into one. There will be a Dunk Tank, Beer, Cotton Candy, Jello Shots, did we mention BEER, and loud music. Out of the kindness in her heart (actually its a court ordered probation requirement), she is opening the party to the entire DCKickball community so that we as a group can raise money for the Latin American Youth Center. From 6-8 PM, Carter and other brave DCKickball volunteers will be anteing up to the tank waiting for your mercy (or lack there of). You, yes YOU, are getting a chance to dunk Wall Street Carter in front of tons of your co-eds. Just try to keep the groupies off you, once youve shown your overhand skills! DCKickball will be charging $5 dollars for 3 balls. There will also be a $5 dollar cup-charge for your bottomless cup for libations. All proceeds will go directly to the LAYC. The party will continue inside until 11:30, and then your ass is on the street, headed to Adams Morgan.
